Disaster has struck.

We here have discovered Trainyard, a beautiful iPod/iPad game requiring you to configure tracks and allow different coloured trains to chug to their destinations without crashing.

So simple. Beautiful to watch. Yet so tricky, requiring layer upon layer of raw logic and sequencing as the track junctions shift direction to and fro as each train crosses them.

And once you solve one problem the next, with swarms of trains doing improbably choereographed manoeuvres round the circuit to avoid each other, an even trickier one sits there demanding your extended attention.

What’s more, there are multiple solutions for each puzzle, so you can do them again and find new tricks.

Aaaargh.

Buy it.

And kiss goodbye to your life.
