The BBC wonders whether a picture of North Korea’s Dear Leader Kim has been faked.

Surely the much more pertinent question is, why is he wearing that ridiculous anorak when visiting troops?

Are he and Dick Cheney by some chance related? I was at the Auschwitz commemoration in 2005 and I have to say that the US Vice-President did not quite look the part for that freezing but solemn occasion.

This picture shows just how cold it was for world leaders at that ceremony, sitting almost without moving for over three hours at -8 Centigrade. Note how tough President Putin was determined to manage without gloves or scarf.

All of which made one ponder on the unimaginable pain felt by the Auschwitz/Birkenau inmates themselves as they tried to survive in the camps through a long winter with no smart warm clothes. Excluding those speedily murdered by the Nazis on arrival.
