Can I add blog entries from my iPhone? Yes!

Update: (from PC) I confess. I was a Palm loyalist. But I got bored waiting for the Pre to appear and so opted for the iPhone. It is elegant and ‘clever’ in all sorts of ways. Plus the best thing is that all the Apps can be downloaded straight to the iPhone or the PC from a robust iTunes platform, so no fiddling around with zip files and all that business.

I read an article somewhere about the risks to the Internet arising from Apple creating a dominant position via a new Tablet device, but I can’t find it now. The argument ran that too much could end up depending on the sort of content Apple likes or does not. But we’ll have to worry about that when it happens.

This is why the whole facebook model (a corporate controlled walled garden) is not suited to activism in the way a network of blogs on the wider internet is. To be honest although I joined this group, I think facebook is more suitable for discussions about LOL-cats than anything serious.

I lost interest in facebook the day they took it upon themselves to change how "my" page looks, which just drove home that unlike a blog, my facebook page is not really "mine" at all. Anything you do on facebook is at facebook’s sufferance. I just do not see the need for facebook to be honest.
