The results of the Total Politics blog survey 2009 are emerging.
This blog made it again into the Top 20 UK Libertarian blog list, albeit down several notches (11th last year, 16th this year). This year again my total readership has moved upwards steadily, but I suspect that the TP 2009 Survey had far more entries this year. We’ll see when further analysis emerges.
Many thanks to everyone who kindly spent some time taking part. Building readership on any blog is hard work, since the competition is so intense for everyone’s time and patience, plus material has to be generated without being (too) repetitive, day after day after day.
Blogs fall into so many shapes and sizes. But at least two broad categories can be identified.
Those who write at some length on topics of interest to them. And those who keep their entries shortish and sharpish. I try to be shortish but usually fail.
One blog which has jumped high up the Libertarian rankings this year – 17th in 2008, 4th in 2009, so must be winning some fans somewhere – is underdogs bite upwards. This blog is in the wordier camp, and clearly flourishing there
