Always good to hear from fellow bloggers who enjoy the product here.
Such as Geoff Jones, who is to be found at https://geoffjones.com/
Geoff left school on the eve of his fifteenth birthday and has ended up a successful businessman and electronics innovator. See for example his very practical scientific approach to measuring the waterproofness of new walking boots.
Meanwhile I have a new reader in distant Odessa, namely Odessablog – all you need to know about Odessa!
I am a bit out of touch with Ukrainian politics these days, but Odessablog has some solid observations about the race for the Presidential elections there with some two weeks to go:
… a noticable % of the “Orange” Ukrainians will…….whatever Orange Ukrainians are…….and they seem to have slipped from patriot to nationalist in word and deed…… vote for Tymoshenko, as to vote for Yanukovych, the man they froze their arses off to insure his defeat in 2004, will be quite abhorrent, closing to 10% difference between Yanukovych and Tymoshenko.
Others candidates and parties will fall one way or another almost cancelling each other out……..leaving the King maker……or in this case President maker……..in Sergiy Tigipko who is not a fan of either candidate or they him.
Enter Ukraine’s new Prime Minister, Sergiy Tigipko……..regardless of the winner..
Finally, a piece on this site has been picked up by Colin Davies, a Brit living in Galicia in Spain who has some trenchant observations on the UK and more generally, as seen from a warmer part of Europe. His many postings on corruption – helpfully collected for us under the label Corruption – are most interesting…
Welcome bloggers one and all, wherever you might be.
