Here is Keith Hennessey surpassing himself by explaining stunningly complex climate change issues in a way real people like us can follow.
This sort of brilliant work is noteworthy because it is just the sort of thing top decison-makers will in fact read. None of them have time to absorb much if any detail. They want to know in a few paragraphs answers to such basic questions as:
- What does all this really mean?
- Who wins and who loses from which deal?
- Can I get any given deal through my own system?
Which in turn boils down to a simple couple of questions:
- What does it cost?
- Who pays?
If Keith is right, the Climate Change agenda is going nowhere fast. The cost of the measures needed to make the difference the climate change lobby demands are too large, and no-one can agree on who should pay them and how.
Sorry folks.
No ZOPA.
